ObservationsMy desire to see the inside of a library was now whetted to a razor's edge. I returned to Beverly and the big, familiar place at 32 Essex Street. Not only was the library open, but the large parking lot was full of cars. I managed to find a spot and squeezed in. Once inside, I sat down at the first open computer terminal and played "What do you have that might interest me?" The answers came fast and in copious amounts. I landed on a respectibly creaky old book written in 1920 about a subject near and dear to my heart. Clipper ships. Two hours later I went home carrying information not found just anywhere. I set to work plugging it into a WWW presentation I am developing. The unpleasant episode of the closed library was gone from my mind.
