Beverly . . .
Open for Business!

Located in the heart of the North Shore, the city of Beverly offers the perfect location for your business or home. Just 18 miles north of Boston, this coastal community has six access points to Route 128 and five train stations for commuter rail service to Boston and surrounding communities. Its municipal airport, along with its harbor and beaches, offer further evidence that Beverly is a city with unparalleled anemities.

The city's diversity in its real estate, residential and commercial, give it an attractive mix. Its downtown area has proved itself an attractive location for restaurants, and clothing and other boutique-type establishments. These retail operations have found Beverly's 38,000+ population supportive. Beverly's excellent retail climate is further supported by "superstores", such as Stop and Shop and Shaw's supermarkets. The completion of the Beverly-Salem bridge will greatly enhance the harbor area for retail and marine operations by providing a smoother transition from Route 1A, the coastal road from Boston.

Currently, there are some large opportunities for future office, industrial and R&D space. The former corporate headquarters of Parker Brothers is available for sale. Its easy access to Route 128 and its campus-like setting make it an ideal site for a large office user. A new road has been proposed adjacent to the Bevely Airport that will open up more than 100 acres of industrial-zoned land. The former USM plant-"The Shoe"- offers more than one million square feet of sub-dividable space for all types of users. It is a rare opportunity for a large, mixed use environment. The present political leadership is promoting and inviting commercial and industrial companies in appropriate locations. The city's zoning has allowed for buffers between industrial/commercial and residential areas.

The city's diverse residential housing makes it enticing to all, from first-time home buyers to multi-million dollar estate owners alike. There are neighborhoods for almost all price ranges, including new-construction homes. Affordable oceanfront and harbor front condominiums are also available. For the more discriminating buyer, oceanfront estates nestle the "Gold Coast" in Prides Crossing and Beverly Farms. the vast majority of housing supply exists in the $150,000 to $400,000 price range.

The community is enhanced by a superior school system, fine medical facilities at Beverly Hospital, a vast array of visual and performing arts and an outstanding recreation department that brings youth and adults together. Not to be forgotten are its beaches and municipal golf course.

All in all, in Beverly, you'll find the benefits and conveniences of a city with the quiet pleasures of a small town.
