Hamilton Massachusetts
Community Page

"Hamilton has special appeal as a residential community. Its North Shore location provides easy access to the Atlantic seashore with its preserves, beaches and boating. The town's surroundings typify rural New England and include many handsome historic houses. Large areas of open and agricultural land encompassing the Audubon preserve, Bradley Palmer State Park, Myopia Hunt Club and several large estates and farms create a pastoral environment. The visitor to the town is quite likely to share the back roads with horseback riders."

"Hi. Just messing around but I thought it might be interesting to share a few things. Although I have only lived in Hamilton since '85, I know that this was General Patton's east coast home (his son, a retired Major General, still lives here). It boasts a protestant interdenominational seminary, more horses per capita than any other town in the U.S. (including those in Texas), and a Sherman tank in the middle of its Patton Park. Named after Alexander (who was born in the West Indies), the town also hosts the U.S. Olympic Horse Training Center. So long for now."
