Milwaukee Wisconsin. The Umoja Summer Band Camp is designed to: provide the inner city youth of Milwaukee with quality instruction in marching band technique used by many inner city high schools and HBCU's throughout the country; promote Kwanzaa awareness throughout the year as a celebration to be planned for along with all the other annual holidays. The camp will last from June 13th thru July 6th from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. The program has been in existence in the city of Milwaukee since 1991. Write for more information.

Albion Michigan. Albion, Michigan was the site of the sixth annual Black Family Reunion held August 8th to the 15th.
September
Berlin Maryland. Stephen Decatur Park in Berlin, Maryland is the site of the African-American Heritage Festival during the 2nd Weekend in September.

Chicago Illinois The Chicago Area Health and Medical Careers Program is hosting its annual Kwanzaa Celebration, 26 december 2000 5:00-8:30 pm at the Carter Woodson Library, 9525 S. Halsted. Contact reggie@vax1.iit.edu for more information.
Albion Michigan Albion College will host its annual Kwanzaa community celebration in the Gerstacker International House Lounge at 6:00 PM, on Friday, December 3rd.

Minneapolis Minnesota Kwanzaa Community Fellowship Church at 2100 Emerson Avenue North. Tuesday, December 26 at 6:00 p.m. "The Maafa--Great Suffering," a psychodramatic depiction of the Transatlantic Slave Trade, will be presented for the first evening of Kwanzaa.
