Municipal. The Village of Gridley Illinois home page was created as a model for networking and automating a rural community through local and regional cooperation.

Our mission as a community network is to overcome some of the telecommunications barriers for rural residents by providing a local access point to the Internet which can be used for economic development, educational and personal purposes.

Funding for the project was provided by a grant given to the Gridley Public Library District by the Illinois State Library and the Office of the Secretary of State using federal Library Services and Construction Act funds.

Gridley is located in McLean County Illinois.
