The following is an out-take of the above 100K document presenting the British maritime-related museums and exhibits. I searched the document via Netscape and utilized the Edit/Find feature to good advantage.
LONDON: for maritime collections near central London see: HMS Belfast, Collection of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers, Lloyd's Nelson Collection, Museum of London, Science Museum, and St Katherine's Dock. On the north side, at Kings Cross, is the London Canal Museum.
A short way east, downriver, is the Thames Police Museum. Further downriver at Greenwich are the vessels Cutty Sark and Gipsy Moth IV, and the National Maritime Museum, with the Greenwich Royal Observatory nearby. Note the elegant buildings of the Royal Naval College, built by Sir Christopher Wren along the Thames (they are now for sale). The ex-Soviet submarine U-475 is at Woolwich, a little further downstream.
