| Survey results tell us, Alumni Want Pictures! Then More Pictures! One of the top requests from alumni was for more pictures on the site. Castle Pictures, Maroon & White Pictures, Alumni Pictures, Current Family Pictures, Kids, Dogs, Cats, ... OK, here's the plan. Castle PicturesWe are currently using the majority of the best Castle pictures we have on the various pages of the site. We occasionally get others from an annual or alumni, and will add them to the site pages as they becomeavailable. Here, for example, is one we just got out of the 1917 Maroon & White. |

Inside the CastleIn 1998 Bob Boyd of Bauhaus Internet Systems & Service, one of our site sponsors, produced an excellent set of photographs showing the interior of the Castle titled "Castle on the Hill, A Sense of Place." Bob has placed these photos on his site where we can enjoy them. Please visit A Sense of Place and enjoy a trip back in time.NOTE: This link has been down for awhile, and we have been unable to contact Bob to see if he will be putting it back up. If not, we will try to get him to send us the pictures so we can make them available here. Maroon & White PicturesWe are always looking for good pictures from the pages of the Maroon & White. They must be of decent size to give high enough resolution to show up wellon the screen. Most of these we will use on the Class Home Room pages forthe same year. An example is the Class of '41 Football Team which we currently use on their Home Room page.We will use team, organization, and group shots, and will also use some of the "Ambush Journalism" pictures from the annual, like the one below. |

Individual PicturesWe resist the urge to use old photos of specific individuals, paired with a current photo, for "Then and Now" or "Before and After" comparisons, without specific permission from the person.Tempting as it might be... |
Current Pictures and Family PicturesWith a fifty year difference between the youngest and oldest alumni, and considering that most of the other alumni we each know are within a couple of years of our Class Year, it would seem inappropriate to put too much more "class group specific" material on the site than there already is. Those of us working on the site are all mid-fifties alumni, and the site reflects that. And will likely continue to, until somebody gets us some new material. But, that's why we have "Class Home Room" pages! So, we will support Class Contacts who want to gather material for their class pages. If thereis enough demand, we will try to set up a link for each Home Room page with a graphics specific system, (something like http://www.myfamily.com/) that is set up to handle the large storage size required for extensive graphics. |
The Mystery PicturesWhat we would like to do, is provide an ongoing series of "Mystery Pictures" where you can help to identify the Where, When, and Who involved. The consensus answers, and perhaps a few others, will be published after we receive enough information. To make this work, we are going to need a variety of selections from a number of class years - which means you are going to have to dig through your old scrapbooks and send us a scan or copy of the picture along with as much information as you have about the content. We just happen to have one to start things off. |
