Omaha Group offers housing plan for 'Castle' |
|
This article in the Sioux City Journal on 26 July came as quite a surprise,
and not a particularly pleasant one at that.
I am one of the majority of Central grads who are away from Sioux City and
not actively supporting the efforts of the COHA. I also do not presume to
question the decision of the COHA Board of Directors to pursue this option.
However, I am concerned about what happens to the CASTLE and I am interested
in the activities of the COHA , particularly this initiative.
I visit the CASTLE WEB and the SCJournal web sites nearly every day just to
keep up with what's going on at 'home.' Nothing I have seen recently would
have foretold of this proposal. I understand the benefits of negotiating a
deal without publicity, but I believe the Ladies and Knights of the School
would appreciate some additional information from the COHA Board of Directors
on how this initiative will benefit the COHA, protect and preserve this
historical site, further the objectives of the COHA and hopefully answer some
of our questions.
An update posted on the COHA Activities page would be gratefully appreciated.
