Hi John,
Well it finally happened. COHA signed the lease and deed papers
yesterday and they should be on their way to Omaha.
Final plans call for the gift shop and the office to be located in the
same area as the old gift shop but with much larger quarters. Also we retained
the old boys' shower room, next to the dungeon gymnasium, to use as a kitchen
area, when and if it happens. This would permit us to have events in the old
gym. In the agreement we keep the auditorium for our use. Also, NuStyle gave me
a room for the print shop museum on the lower floor, which was the old book
room.
Construction should start July 1st.
NuStyle has had two of their construction supervisors at the Castle
working with the architect to do preliminary inspection.
Well, after 30 years it will finally take shape.
